Welcome to my blog. Although this is the first in what I suppose could be a long blogging career, it's something I do with great hesitation. Entering the internet financial world was never a desire of mine. It wasn't something I looked at as a "quick path to riches" and suddenly decided to "pan for internet gold". Quite the contrary. When I considered setting up a website and blogging, what I saw was responsibility. I suppose it's just the way I'm hard wired, but I take this as serious business. Understand I'm no rookie in the financial services business. I've been around since 1985. I've seen a lot. But mostly I've seen clients face to face.  And I've felt responsible for each and every one of them, in a financial sense. And that's a good thing, I think. And now I'm talking to you. By far most of you will never sit face to face across from my desk. But if you decide to do business with us, I'll still feel just as responsible as if you'd been right here all along. And so I've decided to take that on. We'll reach a wider audience and perhaps help more people navigate the treacherous waters we find ourselves in. My blogs may not be every day. They will generally be shorter than this and my approach is going to be to tell you "what you need to know".
