A few words about tomorrow

My view of the market hasn't changed from late last week. Getting the election out of the way may actually help break the consolidation log jam the market finds itself in. We should know by Wednesday afternoon.

That being said, I'd like to comment on this election and our political process in general.

First, if you refuse to vote for a person based solely on the color of their skin, you need to re-examine your motives. Second, if vote FOR a person based solely on the color of their skin, you also need to re-examine your motives. Get it?

The color of someones skin is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is the character and integrity of the individual and their ability to make good decisions under pressure, at least for the Presidency. Who knows what the next President will face? Did anyone expect 9-11 when George Bush assumed office? I think not.

We as Americans have a problem. We don't know who the enemy is. Too many people in both parties think the opposing party is the enemy! As a result I believe our political system is headed for major trouble, if not outright collapse. We need leaders, men and women, who get what I'm about to say next.

It's not about you. Your life , that is. It's not about you at all. It's about everyone else around you, and I do mean everyone. It's about your family. It's about your friends. It's about the waitress who's struggling to survive by serving you. It's about your neighbor who can't get their car started on a frigid morning. It's about leaving the world a better place than you found it.

Do we do that? Can we do that? May God bless our Country as we go to the polls.
