Lightening and Thunder and just another day at the office
If Wednesday was lightening then today was the thunder as this nearly unprecedented market action rolled on. I really am surprised by the speed and ferocity of this latest decline. If this doesn't shake the bulls right out of the saddle I don't know what will.
Now we get to find out, as Paul Harvey would say, "the rest of the story". Was the rally up from the lows a cruel bull trap, or is this move down a vicious bear trap? I think we'll know by Monday lunch, if not tomorrow afternoon.
To tell the truth it could go either way, but it better not. The lows need to hold and the market needs to advance for a while. If not, we'll be in uncharted waters and I don't think that's a good thing.
If this market's going to go lower at some point, and I think it is, I'd prefer to see more order and less chaos. Order says the low is in for now and we go up. Chaos, well....that would be anything else.
My numbers from last night stand. No need to repeat them here. Be careful because it's thundering and lightening out there.
