Something doesn't feel right to me

Well, today the market did something it has only done a few times in the last 15 years. It crossed and closed on a different side of the 20 MMA (roughly 1040). This time it crossed from below and closed above. Historically that has been a bullish indication. This time I'm not so sure.

Something doesn't feel right to me. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the deteriorating internals. Maybe it's the disconnect between Wall Street and main street. Heck, maybe it's Jim Kramer. I don't know. I just have a bad feeling.

Perhaps it's because I realize how fragile, corrupt and bankrupt our system really is. You always find some of that, but right now it's at an extreme. There's a price to be paid at some point. Maybe the bill's coming due.

I've read a lot about trouble coming in 2010. I've seen it from many different sources, not all from inside the US. Serious type stuff. World shaping stuff. Even scary type stuff. Maybe that's affecting my mood tonight.

Regardless, we should all press on. We have a life to live after all, right? We should all strive to do better...to BE better. Perhaps we should borrow a line from a famous Admiral, uttered not far from where I sit tonight, and modified for our times: Damn the economy, full speed ahead!
